At the source of the Light and Sound—beyond dream travel, Soul Travel, and Self-Realization—lies God Consciousness. But how can we reach it?
This is the true story of Sri Harold Klemp’s entrance into the highest spiritual state: God-Realization. The deeply personal account enables the receptive reader to see beyond the details of this experience to its essence.
It tells how a mysterious ECK Master helped him make the important decision to go to college. Then in 1970, he met another stranger, a bridge tender, who eventually attended Sri Harold’s experience of God. An excerpt from chapter 14 gives a hint of this life-altering encounter with God on a dark Wisconsin bridge:
"Are you ready to meet yourself?" he asked gently. . . .
I gave a mute nod. The Golden-tongued Wisdom from earlier this evening now flooded across my mind: Accept all that comes tonight, without fear or hesitation. Thus began my rite of passage into God-Realization. . . .
From out of the night, as if from a distant lighthouse, came a searing bolt of blue-white light that pierced my heart. . . .
A heavy roll of thunder shook the bridge, as if a locomotive were sweeping past. . . .
The stranger gave a quiet laugh. "Behold! The Light and Sound of God." . . .
Faster, louder came the surging. . . .
Crushing me, cleansing, scouring, blessing. . . .
Slowly I straightened up. . . . my atoms were pure and light beyond all telling. A disease was now gone, but until its absence, I had not even sensed its presence.
"Something’s gone," I murmured. "Something’s gone."
A heaviness that had been with me all my years was gone.
The story runs like a curved line that rises from the bottom of a page to the top, then goes down the other side. Instead of culminating in God-Realization, as one might expect, the story continues until it again reaches the plain of everyday living. This reflects how life really works.
You too can aspire to the God State. This book offers proof. It shares uncharted secrets of Soul’s liberation—and how to start living your spiritual mission in this life. Child in the Wilderness is the story of how Sri Harold Klemp resolved the paradox of God-Realization in a world that at face value is much less than a spiritual garden.
Each word offers loving proof—as we are reminded at its close—that this life is precious. Use it well. No matter what, each day is Soul’s golden opportunity to find the Kingdom of God—and enter it in this lifetime.
